Elective
2nd Cycle Studies - Mestrado
Recommended Prerequisites
Analysis of Structures, Reinforced Concrete, Steel structures and Foundations.
Teaching Methods
Presentation of theoretical concepts, regulatory models and illustrative examples using oral and audio-visual media.
Autonomous work of students in computer lab with teacher's guidance and discussion of the design project.
Visit to a construction site of a bridge.
The final classification results from the weighted average of two classifications: (i) classification in the design project (60%), and (ii) classification in the oral exam (40%).
Learning Outcomes
The main purpose of the course is to provide students with the required knowledge to carry out a design of a motorway bridge.
