Teaching Methods
Lectures detail exposition about principles, theories and real examples providing: a general introduction to a section of the syllabus; a broad overview of a new topic or subject area to prepare the students for detailed study of specific aspects thereof; in depth view with an important principle, law, method, etc. and its main applications. The teaching methodology relays in oral exposition with audiovisual material.
In practical classes students are devoted to solve peculiar problems. This process of problem solving is teacher aided and based on an initial given data and solution topics.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge about the main concepts, principles and theories required to explain and understand the relationships between the economy and the environment.
Address environmentally friendly solutions to problems and investment programs.
Identify policies with a view to promote sustainable development strategies.
Outlining the advantages and limitations of the theory of natural resources, pollution economics and economic valuation of environmental resources.
