Learning Outcomes

Students have a profound knowledge about soil conservation practices and sustainable soil management, e.g. to reduce production and emission of greenhouse gases, to sequester carbon from the atmosphere by storing carbon as soil organic carbon (SOC), to maintain soil fertility and to reduce soil pollution.

The course teaches operations, practices, and treatments to protect soil and enhance its performance (such as soil fertility or soil mechanics). This includes soil conservation, soil amendment, and optimal soil health.
