Recommended Prerequisites
Frequency of the courses of the first year of the Master in Marine Biology, Resources and Climate Change and the course on “Thesis Project in Marine Biology, Resources and Climate Change.
Teaching Methods
The work done over the two semesters is fundamentally practical and teorico-practical and will be held primarily in a business context or in a public Institution. Under tutorial supervisor the student must carry out the practical or teorico-practical work and write a report, which will be the subject of consideration and public discussion by a jury. The evaluation will assess the student's performance during the internship (20%) and the public discussion (80%).
Learning Outcomes
In this course the work will be developed in Public Institutions/Laboratories, services providing laboratories or in a business/company environment. The aim of the course is to provide students the skills of high scientific performance, scientific rigor, intellectual honesty, self-learning, method and organization of work. Integration in a teamwork and oral and writing communication are also competences that will be developed in this course. These skills will be key to the future professional success of the student and consequently to the Institution productivity where he/she operates.
