Learning Outcomes
This course is aimed to people with an intermediate/advanced level of French (level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) who need to develop or consolidate language skills in academic and professional contexts.
The course allows students to mainly develop written comprehension and production skills, which are essential for the preparation, presentation and publication of written work in French.
The level to be reached will be at level B2.1 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

The syllabus aims to develop:
- Language skills linked to university requirements: understanding the pedagogical discourse.
- Comprehension and production of specialized texts.
- Pragmatic skills linked to university methodology: understanding of university written communication situations (case studies, abstracts, summaries, among others), know-how and interpersonal skills, restitution, reformulation and connection.
- Cultural skills: being able to put into perspective the cultural contents covered in the course; knowing how to "relativize" their culture of origin, compare it, place it in a more global context.
