Learning Outcomes
Building on the knowledge and skills acquired in the courses of Japanese Language and Culture
I to V, this course enables students to understand utterances related to personal information, family, shopping, local geography, studies, work, and other topics. They will develop essential communication skills related to everyday life and will be able to talk about their needs and their situation.

Grammar topics include particles, adjectives, adverbs and adverbial expressions, verbs (transitive and intransitive), active and passive voice, potential, intentional forms, the imperative, conditional and other tenses. Students will be introduced to advanced Kanji characters and will learn how to write combining Kanji, Hiragana e Katakana characters. They will also be able to read and understand newspaper articles, magazines, manga and online contents. They will use a larger vocabulary in writing and more complex sentences in written compositions.
