Practical and student-centred lessons, involving group and pair work, as well as role-plays;
Continuous evaluation, based on individual progress with regards to communication skills, including participation, motivation and assiduousness.

Learning Outcomes
This course is aimed at anyone at a post-intermediate or advanced level of English (at least B2 of the CEFR level) and who need to develop or consolidate their language skills in academic or professional contexts.
The course helps students develop efficiency and confidence in situations where they need to deal with written and oral English, with particular emphasis on reading, listening and oral skills. Using the topics developed in the lessons, a percentage of the course will focus on support in academic writing skills.

The main objective of the course is to develop oral skills in social, professional and academic contexts, including both formal and informal situations in academic contexts (presentations, seminars, debates, etc.). Specific attention is given to pronunciation and word/sentence stress, intonation and rhythm. Written and oral sources are used as a springboard for oral activities and to develop comprehension skills.
