Teaching Methods
The curricular unit will combine
a) Expositive classes with stimulation of debate; text analysis / case studies and their discussion
b) Group work to analyze / design tools to support organizational processes;
c) Exercises aiming to apply knowledge
d) Participation of professionals carrying out functions in the management of organizations as a form of presentation of successful practices in various domains of management.
Learning Outcomes
-To bring students closer to the main concepts of Management of social organizations, giving them an overview of the same and of the needed functions for their functioning
-Provide knowledge of organizations management, emphasizing concepts and practices that allow students to integrate into different organizations assuming management functions
- Enable students for the application of concepts and instruments of organizational management in order to promote a more professional and sustainable performance of these organizations aiming to fulfill their social mission
-To develop a critical analysis of the organizational contexts identifying the main challenges that are posed to social organizations and discussing methods to face them
-Promote a research attitude related to management dynamics and that might optimize the professional intervention and professionalization of social organizations.
