Teaching Methods

Practical classes, where role-playing activities will be developed, as well as exercises designed to foster communication, and especially discussion and debate among students. For this purpose, the instructor will provide all the theoretical and lexical material necessary for the development of communicative skills.

Particular attention will also be paid to pronunciation and oral syntactic constructions.

The grammatical component will be addressed according to communication needs, through review/application exercises.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, students are expected to acquire knowledge and skills in French corresponding to level B1.1 of the CEFR, and as such they will be able to:

a) understand the essential points when the standard language used is clear, dealing with family aspects in contexts of: work, school, leisure time, etc.

b) participate in most situations that may occur on the go, in a region where the target language is spoken.

c) organize a simple and coherent discourse on family issues in different areas of interest.

d) report events, experiences or a dream, express a desire or ambition and briefly justify the reasons for a project or an idea.
