Teaching Methods

Seminar classes to expose and discuss computer design topics and to present tutorials on specific techniques for building computer design systems.

Practical laboratory classes for the application of computer design techniques in projects that explore and expand the frontiers of design and its application to emerging media.

Learning Outcomes

In this course, the student is challenged to conceptualize, design and implement innovative solutions for the creation of artefacts, thus contributing to the advancement of the state of the art in the field of design. Through the identification of opportunities and trends, it is expected that the student acquires skills to position himself on the frontier of knowledge, working on problems and open questions in different areas of design. Fostering analysis and critical thinking, the student is encouraged to contribute to the redefinition of the concept of design through an explorative and experimental approach.
