Recommended Prerequisites
The pre-requisites of this course are those corresponding to the application for the MSc course CMM.
Teaching Methods
The teaching methods of lectures aim at the global learning of the discipline.
The lectures are supported in the literature and presentations, with the support of media. There is an opportunity to discuss the concepts and more difficult issues. Occasionally students are invited to attend lectures by visiting specialists. Tutorial lessons (22.5 hours) will be to answer questions and to help in the final project.

Basic Concepts.
2. Microeconomics
Supply, demand and market equilibrium. Production and production costs. Fixed and variable factors of production. Market structures applied to civil engineering.
3. Macroeconomics
Theoretical and macroeconomic policy. National accounts. The market for goods and services. IS-LM analysis. Inflation. External sector. Fiscal policy and public deficit. Growth and socio-economic development.
4. Study case.
