Teaching Methods
The classes are theoretical-practical, composed of an expository part, under the responsibility of the teacher, complemented with the participation of the students, being valued the application of the concepts learned to the concrete example of the current reality and to research projects in course. The main objective is to develop in the students a capacity for autonomous and reflected interpretation of the authors' texts, contextualizing them in their time and in the current debates.
Learning Outcomes
Main objective: to familiarize students with the concepts of culture, art and creation; understanding of the differences and conceptual crossings between these concepts, as well as the theoretical frameworks of sociology with which they are articulated;
Secondary objectives: to know and understand the main axes of discussion about culture, art and creation that characterize contemporary societies and the universes of contemporary sociology of art and culture, as well as how they are updated in the context of Portuguese society.
