Practise in one combat sport.

Teaching Methods

Teaching sessions of a collective nature and personal guidance, with problem-solving activities related to the subject covered, with simulations and observations of situations (training and competition), in order to facilitate the integration of the subject and allow the evaluation (classes and critical reports). Guided and evaluated research work on deepening aspects related to training in the chosen combat sport.

Learning Outcomes

This curricular unit is related to that of Specific Training I and is oriented towards the development of advanced level skills for the performance of the Combat Sports trainer activity. At the end of the curricular unit students should be able to: understand the dynamics of planning, evaluating and controlling training throughout a sporting season, according to the competitive level (including adapted sport); reconcile the specific development of physical and technical tactical capabilities; recognize the importance of models of observation and performance evaluation for an adequate intervention; know different strategies and understand the importance of communication in the relationship with athletes, parents and managers. Reinforcing the scientific and pedagogical knowledge of the student about the chosen modality, and contributing for the improvement throughout the life of the training process, in the different phases of sports training and in a diversified context.

Syllabus

Planning the annual competitive framework up to high performance and participation according to objectives. Specific and laboratory tests; interpretation, presentation and profitability of the results obtained. Models of learning and studying technical tactical situations in the chosen modality, their training and planning in stages up to high performance. Observation systems / performance evaluation of combatants and study of opponents. Communication between trainer and athlete in competitions and during matches. Evaluation and control of the training of the physical and technical tactical skills of the combat sport and its importance in the scope of training planning in order to reconcile the planning of physical and technical tactical skills. Club management (parents, athletes, coaches, media), communication techniques and strategies, recruitment and loyalty of practitioners, promotion of sporting spirit and healthy lifestyle. Adapted combats sports.
