Teaching Methods

Theoretical (T) and theoretical-practical (TP) classes stimulate the student's active participation in learning by carrying out research tasks based on guided learning and problem solving, oral presentation of ideas in discussion groups, fostering interaction among those involved in the teaching - learning process. The guided autonomous study is also used by reading recommended articles. Since it is intended to provide practical competences and skills to students, the evaluation will involve research work with data collection in the field.

Learning Outcomes

The c.u. addresses content related to the organization and implementation of sports in athletes with disabilities. The student must master a set of contents that allow them to understand, frame and provide an adequate response to sport preparation of athletes with disabilities, such as:

1 - Develop solid scientific and pedagogical training in the area of Sports Training, in order to develop your activity as a trainer, based on ethical principles and lifelong improvement;

2 - Acquire specific knowledge and skills that enhance the performance of the coaching mission of athletes with disabilities, in the different dimensions of planning, preparation, operationalization, evaluation / control and innovation in the training process, in the different phases of sports training;

3 - Contribute to the specialization of adapted sports coaches, in the prevention of limiting episodes of sports practice, as is the case of sports injuries.
