Recommended Prerequisites

Construction Technology, Conception and Design of Buidings, Steel Structures, Transport Infrastructures, Geotechnical Works, Sanitary Engineering.  

Teaching Methods

Theoretical-practical classes with an expository component, using audiovisual means, including the concepts, principles and fundamental theories, always accompanied by the approach of practical examples. In addition, in class, students, with the guidance of teachers, develop the projects described above for specific cases.

Learning Outcomes

The overall objective is that the students acquire knowledge in the area of building or infrastructure rehabilitation project, given the specificity of rehabilitation interventions and the different approach they require compared to new construction. Some specific objectives are:

- allow contact and direct involvement with the application of technical knowledge and approach and intervention methodologies in a real rehabilitation situation;

- give students the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to address rehabilitation projects in an interdisciplinary manner;

- allow students to develop a rehabilitation project in a specific area of civil engineering.
