Teaching Methods
This course is taught balancing theory and lab work, with an emphasis on the analysis and design of solutions for specific problems that involve the use of development and simulation tools.
Pupils will be encouraged to work in groups.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand the overall architecture of monitoring and supervision systems, its components, functions, and features, as well, as its evolution towards the internet of things.
- Understand the fundamental operating principles of cabled and wireless industrial data communication networks.
- Learn to select the data communication networks based on the application requirements.
- Develop the skills to use and specify monitoring and supervision systems.
- Define the security and privacy requirements.
