Recommended Prerequisites

(1) Understanding of writen English; (2) Knowledge of neurosciences; (3) knowledge of research methods.

Teaching Methods

(1) Presentation in each class, by the instructor, of each of the themes mentioned in the program.
(2) Mandatory readings by students for each of the aforementioned topics.
(3) Formulation by students of questions regarding each reading assigment
(4) Discussion in each class of the questions presented by students
(5) Elaboration, presentation and discussion of a research project in neuropsychology of consciousness.

Learning Outcomes

(1) To know the central role played by the study of consciousness in experimental and applied psychology.
(2) To become familiar with the research methodologies in neuropsychology of consciousness.
(3) To understand the neuronal correlates of the different states and contents of consciousness.
(4) To characterize the neuropsychological processes of normal and altered states of consciousness, as well as conscious disorders
(5) Contact with the main methods of assessment and intervention in neuropsychology of consciousness.
