Teaching Methods

The classes will be carried out using expository methods, conducting group intervention planning exercise for concrete cases, performing intervention strategies role-play.

Learning Outcomes

Teaching Goals:

- Promote the knowledge and critical understanding about the different contexts of violence and the effects in the victims;

- Promote the acquisition of knowledge on intervention models, strategies and resources, and the development of intervention skills with survivors or in situations of violence.

- Promote the knowledge of different intervention protocols adjusted to specific situations of victimization.

 

Learning outcomes: it is intended that students:

- Be able to develop and apply intervention protocols tailored to specific situations of victimization;

- Identify the potentials and limits of interventions on victims.

Syllabus

The various types of victimization: intra and extrafamilial violence.

The impact of lifelong victimization.

Crisis intervention with victims of violence: models and guidance guides.

Preparation of security plans.

Individual and group psychoeducational interventions.

Intervention based on Narrative THerapies

Solution Focused Therapies.

Socio-emotional competence development programs (e.g. H. Giarretto).

Specifics of intervention with; a) children victims of sexual violence; b) victims of violence in straight and homosexual relationships; victims of filio-parental violence; elderly victims of abuse / neglect.

Assessment
Individual work of construction/organization a set of therapeutic resources, with theoretical information and resources (e.g. scaling scales for children) that can be used in a therapeutic session. Each student has to present their work in class. This work has no particular structure (portfolio, book, DVD, etc.): 40.0%
Mini Tests: 60.0%
