Teaching Methods
Theoretical classes to present concepts, models and tools for analysis and management of companies, and the remainder for elaboration, discussion and presentation of practical work.
Theoretical-practical classes where throughout the semester the students will be challenged to develop a business model based on the tool "Business Model Canvas". At the end of the semester they will present their projects to the whole class in the "Elevator Pitch" format. In addition, case studies will be solved for the various syllabuses, and, if possible, the class will integrate guest speakers.
Learning Outcomes
This course aims to encourage the creation of entrepreneurial skills and innovative mindset and gives the opportunity to future professionals to get familiar with the business world and the basics to create and manage a small business with a value added perspective. It is expected that students will be able to develop the following skills:
- Leadership, self-motivation and innovation;
- Organization and management;
- Teamwork;
- Communication;
- Formulate business models through the tool "Business Model Canvas";
- Evaluate business profitability;
- Know the main theoretical aspects related to the management of companies, including leadership and people management, market analysis, marketing, value creation, financing, internationalization, industrial property, legal company setup, accounting, tax, finance and business plan.
