Teaching Methods

In the theoretical classes, the subjects are addressed in an expository way, using audiovisual media.
In theoretical-practical classes, interactivity is used, questioning and placing concrete issues to the students, in orders for better knowledge acquisition.
In practical classes, it is intended that that the students identify and examine different tissues and organs, by observing models, anatomical parts and histological sections.

Learning Outcomes

The objectives of this curricular unit are:
-the acquisition of adequate language and terminology allowing the description and the understanding of the macroscopic and microscopic structure of tissues and organs, integrating them in a morpho-functional vision;
The student should be able to:
-master the anatomic and histological terminology;
-have a precise notion of the descriptive, topographic and functional Anatomy of the structures of the human body and their histological structure;
-have a sense of the interrelation between the different organs and systems.
The knowledge acquisition process must be carried out with the natural ethical concerns inherent to the human being, even in post-mortem condition.
