1st Cycle Studies
Recommended Prerequisites
Vector calculus, differentiation and integration.
Teaching Methods
Theoretical classes where a detailed description of the concepts, theories and theorems is provided. Some problems are also solved, thus illustrating the practical applications of the theory. Problem classes where the students solve practical problems with the guidance of the teacher.
Learning Outcomes
To understand and apply basic concepts and principles of Physics (Waves, Electromagnetism, Fluids and Thermodynamics) using the appropriate methodologies and techniques. To understand how these basic principles allow for the explanation of a broad spectrum of phenomena in the area of the Engineering Sciences, in particular, and Science and Technology in general. To prepare, process, interpret and communicate physics information, using relevant literature sources, a proper speech and proper tools.
