Lectures and active methods (work on texts; debates; case studies; practical exercises; brainstorming sessions; workgroups).

Learning Outcomes

The student must learn how to acquire the skills necessary to be a successful engineer. In particular, non-technical skills (also known as soft skills) will be discussed. Students are expected to develop aspects of "know-how-to-be" (interpersonal / human component) to complement the "know-how" provided by their basic academic background. The course will thus help students to: improve verbal, nonverbal communication and active listening; prepare, organize, write (and present) a communication using appropriate tools; recognize and apply the principles of leadership; improve teamwork skills; develop self-motivation and promote motivation in others; manage time; manifest ethics and deontology in the actions developed.
