Teaching Methods
Lessons to expose the subject using powerpoints and other digital media. Problem solving using quality tools. The problems will be solved in groups in order to promote discussion about the different approaches that can be followed to solve the proposed problems. Autonomous problem solving (homework) by students and discussion of results in classroom.
Learning Outcomes
The Quality is one of the main factors taken into account by customers when deciding which product or service should be acquired. Thus the understanding of the quality concepts and how to measure and control the quality is vital for the success of any business.
After this course the student should be able to: understand and discuss the concept of quality in what concerns it application in engineering; use the tools available to measure and control the quality of a product/service during it development/project and production stage.
