Teaching Methods
The teaching will be by transmission, inquiry and problem solving in order to have an active participation of the students in the teaching and learning processes. The lectures are designed to promote the critical analysis, creativity and concern with scientific rigour and quality of the oral and written communications.
The inquiry activities result in oral and written communications of the individual and group work.
Learning Outcomes
This curricular unit aims to provide students with the competencies needed to teach the syllabus of Geosciences, particularly in Secondary Education.
The students should:
1. Know the concepts of the scientific contents of Geosciences of the Secondary Education;
2. Know how to apply the knowledge in Geosciences in the teaching and learning of specific syllabuses;
3. Know how to plan didactic units of Geosciences of the Secondary Education;
4. Build didactic materials and instruments adapted to the Geology syllabuses of the Secondary Education;
5. Know the principles of Geoethics.
