Teaching Methods

The theoretical sessions have a expostory format and are focused on a main theme. The theoretical pratical sessions are related to the teaching and representation of training models. During the semester the student will participate in superved real teaching pratice observation sessions, pratical studies-Athletics classes, in parallel with the training process and competition in a Ahtletic team in the region.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course unti, the student will be able to develop professional practice in the school or club considering the knowledge in the field of sports training and specialization in Athletics, namely: 1. To know the Physical Education programs in Athletics; 2. Identify the organization in athletics; 3. Ability to analyze the training process in athletics.

Syllabus

The theoretical program includes: a. Introduction to Athletics; b. The Training of Young Athletes; c. The Development of Physical Condition in Formation Classes; d. Speed and Relay training in youth classes; and Race walking Training in the Training Classes; f. The Training of hurdles in the Formation Classes; g. The Training of Jumps in the Formation Classes; H. Training of Trows in the Formation Classes. A component of practice in a training situation involves observation and analysis of the training process in the club.
