Teaching Methods

Education through research and problem solving. Students will be accompanied at all stages of development of a research work (defining the problem and / or questions / problem; research and analysis of the literature, acquisition / processing of data, drafting of the synthesis work.

Learning Outcomes

This course is intended that students develop skills in research methodology for environmental studies, namely, planning and conducting research.

Syllabus

1 - Introduction to the course
2 - Research methodologies for Environmental Studies. Practical examples of application, with special emphasis on Portuguese cases.
3 - Presentation and analysis of examples of work in the context of environmental studies.
4 - Research work in a specific context of knowledge under the Environmental Studies. (Each student will be guided in the use of literature and from various databases in order to obtain information enabling it to take stock of the situation on the knowledge in this scientific area.
