Teaching Methods

The internship activities take place in a real training environment supervised by a tutor in the host organization. The orientation of athletes/teams according to the Individual Internship Plan, should be in accordance with the predefined learning agreement protocol between the training entity-Faculty of Sports Sciences and Physical Education and the host organization / club. The student is monitored and evaluated for the skills demonstrated in the programming and conduction of the training and competition process, elaborating a critical reflection of is own performance. 

Learning Outcomes

This course complements Internship I and aims to provide a more complete experience of conducting athletes / teams in training and competition situations as the head coach or assistant of a team in a host club / organization that regularly participates in events officials. The continuity of the internship temporarily extends the experience of coaching, coaching and conducting athletes and teams, increasing the number of possible experiences.This unit will provide students with a medium- and long-term vision in sports preparation.

The student should improve the competence to organize and conduct the training sessions conducive to consolidation and new specialized learning appropriate to the corresponding stage of the athletes, begun in Internship I.
