Recommended Prerequisites

Knowledge in physiology and biochemistry are recommended for a better understanding of the micro and macro nutrients classifactaion and their use by the organism in relation with nutrition. For sports Nutrition, some training methodology basis are necessary.

Teaching Methods

Teaching sessions of collective nature in particular in the theoretical classes with frequent use of student questioning. Personal and collective orientation sessions in theoretical-practical classes, with problem solving and debates. Autonomous study oriented through the execution of fieldwork. Independent study of frequency preparation.

Learning Outcomes

Acquire bases to help sportsmen and women improve their nutritional balance, day-to-day and before, during and after an effort. Have notions of nutritional evaluation and prescription without intending to replace the nutritionist, but rather, to facilitate complementarity with this professional.
