Teaching Methods
Classes will be mainly practical. At times it is foreseen the possibility of lectures.
The periodic evaluation consists of:
1 – Practical component (g) participation in class) - 60% (including attendance, punctuality, commitment and technical and tactical evolution)
2 - Theoretical component - 40% (d) Written essays and h) Participation in lectures or other activities certified by the teacher).
Learning Outcomes
The course aims to promote knowledge of rugby and to develop the ability to plan and to implement introductory sports sessions of rugby in a school context or sports club.
The student must acquire the following competencies:
- Mastering the content, tools and educational intervention skills, selecting appropriate strategies for the development of learning of physical and sporting activities, using various teaching models of instruction, planning and organization tailored to specific social contexts.
- To plan, organize, implement and evaluate introductory sports sessions.
- To describe and demonstrate the fundamental technical and tactical elements of the game, identifying and correcting its main technical errors, and improve physical fitness and motor skills of the students.

4. Progressive presentation of basic technical and tactical elements:
•carrying the ball in both hands and run into space whenever possible, evading contact
•Taking the ball of the ground;
•Handling and evasion;
•Passing and receiving;
•Pass before, during or after (offload) contact;
•Evasion techniques, inside pass, creating space;
•Support play;
•Individual and collective defense
5. Playing the game with variations and small-sided games.
