Teaching Methods

This curricular unit focuses on the development and demonstration of communication and data visualization skills. In this way, the theoretical classes will present the concepts, theories, and methods associated with communication and data visualization, while in the practical classes, the students will be led to the resolution and presentation of oral communications and reports. Several visualization software (e.g. Excel, Tableau, R, D3 Javascript) will be used to create the graphics.

Learning Outcomes

With this curricular unit, it is intended to equip students with knowledge and communication skills, focusing on learning the strategic and tactical use of data for the conduction of decision-making processes. It aims to increase the skills to communicate and use data tools through practice and real-world examples. Emphasis will be placed on the communication of quantitative information as well as the improvement of communication skills in general.
