Learning Outcomes

With this course unit it is intended that the student acquires a set of critical tools and knowledge to help taking, and justifying, technical, methodological and strategic decisions in the context of assessing the condition and specific overall performance of the outer envelope of existing buildings and the corresponding project of rehabilitation. It is critical that students acquire solid knowledge in the study of solutions and materials and their suitability to specific cases, with different levels of complexity, enabling a critical and coherent counseling of the solutions proposed by the market, either in a local perspective or internationally. In the local perspective, the rehabilitation strategies will be based mainly on the new regime applicable to the rehabilitation of buildings, approved by Decree Law nº 95/2019.
