Knowledge acquired in the curricular units of the first year of this cycle of studies.

Teaching Methods

After the topic is chosen and some bibliography is recommended, the student initiates his/her individual work, followed closely by the advisor, in regular meetings throughout the semester. The development of the work gives rise to a written text that is being improved and enriched by suggestions from the advisor.

Learning Outcomes

Development of a project involving scientific, didactic and pedagogical skills in the area of mathematics, aiming the development of educational research capabilities that are important in thestudent's profession as a teacher. In particular, this work aims timprove independent work, critical thinking, ability to communicate concepts and mathematical results in a clear and scientifically correct way, both in written and oral form.

Syllabus

There is no specific syllabus defined in advance and the topics to be addressed by the students can be quite diverse. The advisor of each student choses the topic in accordance with the objectives proposed. In particular, the advisor  should take into consideration that the topic to be covered in this course unit will be implemented in school environment in the course unit Educational Project II during the second semester.
