Teaching Methods
Seminars, in various areas of natural and cultural resources, and workshops based on the concept "Pro Action Café" will be designed in order to have an active participation of the students in the teaching and learning processes. The classes will be complemented with laboratory and field activities, whose purpose will be to acquire knowledge on multidisciplinary techniques to assess the complexity of the components related to ecosystem detection of disturbances as well as the conservation, enhancement, planning and natural resources management.
Learning Outcomes
In this interdisciplinary curricular unit, students should:
1.know the ecological basis to understand the procedures related to management/monitoring/planning/conservation of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems/endogenous resources valorisation
2.recognise the importance of edaphic/freshwater organisms as indicators of the ecosystems quality
3.integrate/apply theoretical-practical knowledge to solve problems/conflicts associated with the resources sustainability
4.know the national/global natural resources and ecosystems services
5.evaluate/reflect on the positive/negative aspects of different planning perspectives/natural resources management and on the economic, ethical, social implications
6.develop critical reasoning/self-learning, stimulating creativity and scientific accuracy
7.Develop the skills for analysis, synthesis and to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, their knowledge to various types of audiences.
