Knowledge acquired in Organization Theory and Administrative Law, namely the General Theory of Administrative Organization 

Teaching Methods

Theoretical-practical classes. Discussion based on literature on the chapters of the course. Discussion of case studies of the subjects taught, in the context of public and private administration.

Learning Outcomes

Provide students with knowledge, skills and competences that allow them to recognize and discuss administrative science. To provide students the set of key concepts and elementary knowledge required to the study of Public Administration. Administrative Science as the field of knowledge specifically devoted to the study of the administrative phenomena and "public affairs" is adressed, highlighting particularly the issue of State functions and missions and its administrative organisation, which are facing today's environment challenges and also addresses specific issues central to public management, including those related to attempts to develop greater organizational rationality (decision models and planning).
