Learning Outcomes

- Become familiar with the contemporary problems and methodologies of advanced research in Art Studies, paying special attention to the relation between the practical and investigative dimensions.

- Discuss the particularities of each knowledge field and its links with other scientific fields.

- Explore links between art studies and digital humanities.

- Understand the different methodological approaches to the arts throughout history and in present times.

- Develop analysis and discussion skills about critical issues in film and image studies, music studies, theatre studies, and performance studies.

- Promote the development and implementation of projects of artistic creation and research in Art Studies for academic purposes and to enhance scientific curricula by applying knowledge, methodologies, and skills adjusted to each student’s PhD project.

- Write the draft of a PhD research project in Art Studies.
