Teaching Methods

Expository-teaching methodology (lectures): presentation of research models with exemplification of ongoing investigations; discussion groups calling for critical analysis; relevant bibliographic search carried out autonomously by the students followed by group discussion to explain the knowledge acquired.

Learning Outcomes

Objective: this mandatory UC, allows students to opt for sub-themes to achieve deepening of knowledge, conceptualization and investigation concerning Family Intervention in a direct manner and towards specific research interests of each student. Learning outcomes:

1. knowing in depth a set of studies that evaluate and analyze some of the most relevant family intervention modalities as contemplated in Sylabus;

2. investigate and identify the processes and variables associated with the process and results of family

interventions – e.g. components, therapeutic alliance, therapeutic change or impass factors;

3. understanding and critically evaluate research produced in the field, points on which the student should be able to express both in writing and orally;

4. develop skills for designing and implementing scientific research in this field.

4. Study of the process and therapeutic results. Variables associated to therapeutic change in diverse settings and problems.
