Recommended Prerequisites

Knowledge of the English, French, and Spanish languages at level B1, including the necessary skills to read the recommended and/or relevant bibliography for this course unit.

Teaching Methods

This unit is organized into multitutorial seminars taught by Portuguese and foreign researchers who will present topical subjects in Tourism and Heritage using different teaching materials and media. The expository method will be used only to contextualise the contents. The provision of support materials before each seminar will enable students to outline an autonomous research path, according to their own interests, and participate in debates using scientifically sound arguments.

To come into contact with a variety of interpretations and research methodologies introduced by different Portuguese and foreign researchers.

To understand multi- and interdisciplinary approaches and formulations of topics in Tourism and Heritage.

To rethink individual perspectives on topics in Tourism and Heritage, thus deepening knowledge.

To transpose theoretical concepts and principles of tourism and heritage into practical solutions through case studies.
