2nd Cycle Studies in Social Sciences or Humanities.

Depending on previous training, the frequency of elective courses may be required.

Teaching Methods

The unit is organized in seminars presented by invited researchers and in presentation and discussion of the 'work in progress' developed by students. Students must attend the different workshops scheduled and participate in its discussions. Students must deliver at the end of the school year a seminar report with 30 pages, based on the topics covered in the seminars, or a short report from each of the seminars, each with 5 pages.

Learning Outcomes

This course aims to encourage students to deepen their critical skills based on their own search work for the 3rd cycle, encouraging them to discuss comparable problems.

Syllabus

The program of seminars will consist on presentation in conference of relevant research for the following thematic areas:

- African Studies

- Visual Anthropology

- Museology and material culture

- Cognitive anthropology

- Anthropology of the Body

- Anthropology of space

- Anthropology of Medicine

Lectures will be presented by professors from Life Sciences Department and by invited researchers.

The conference will be followed by discussions participated by students.
