Forensic Anthropology; frequence of Seminars I,II, III, IV.

Solid english knowledge.

Teaching Methods

The PhD student will present a written research project with the plan of his phd thesis. The evaluation will be done by the supervisor (along the year) and by a jury during the final oral defense. Furthermore, the submission of an article to a peer review journal will be taken into account to the evaluation.

Learning Outcomes

This unit is exclusively dedicated to the production of a research project in straight relation with the PhD thesis. In other word, the student has to present a research project of the thesis that he/she is going to present. For that they need to do  an exhaustive bibliographical research, to give the state of art on the  subject; to present their the null hypothesis;  the selected methodologies; the expected results; the chronogram and the main references. It is a key objective to learn how to prepare a scientific article and, whenever possible, to submit it to a peer review journal by the end of the research project.

Syllabus

The project will be done during the year course and will be discussed with the supervisor during every main phase. Furthermore, whenever possible, known forensic researchers will be invited to give seminars to which students are supposed to actively participate. In alternative, ph students are advice to participate on recognized international forensic meetings.
