Recommended Prerequisites

Graduation in Health Sciences or related subject and be fluent in English (written and spoken). 

Teaching Methods

a) Conferences/ talks concerning specific themes

b) Seminaries/ round tables concerning emerging and controversial themes in the cardiovascular field

c) Individual and group work with the objective of promoting the scientific method in raising research hypotheses

The evaluation will include:

a) Presentation of a research article concerning a specific theme of the course.

b) Presentation and discussion of a proposal for a potential research project.

c) Multiple choice test.

Learning Outcomes

With this CU the student should acquire skills and highly differentiated knowledge and expertise, through exposure to advanced concepts and the latest and advanced techniques used in research in Infection and Immunity, from the cellular and molecular mechanisms associated with microbiology and immunological disorders. Students which select the branch of specialization in Infection and Immunity must have to perform this CU, by attending advanced courses offered within the postgraduate programs of UC, or other IES, which focus on topics related to the latest advances in the area of microbiology, infection and immunological disorders.
