Learning Outcomes

Know the purposes of administration techniques, from the perspective of planning, organization and management of health resources.

Provide knowledge about health planning, including through strategic, tactical and operational analysis in health, of innovation and change management, health quality, team management in health, decision support and financial management; the dynamics and evolution of public health and occupational health, focusing on the acquisition of practical knowledge in the field of occupational medicine in organizations.

Understand the main indicators and statistics of occupational health and its development at national and international level.

Understand and frame this knowledge in the major models of organization and management of Safety and Health at work Services, in accordance with the law.

- Administration and management in health and health services: stages and its integration within the administrative process.

Health planning: definitions, concepts, justification and spiral of its stages.

Planning key features: equity, effectiveness and efficiency.

Levels and types of planning. Strategic, tactical and operational planning.

Rational planning and pragmatic planning.

Organizational-based planning and population-based planning.

Steps of the Planning Process:

- Diagnosis of the situation and Health profile: demographics, socio-economic, environmental, and health situation of resources; identification of health problems

- Setting priorities

- Setting general, specific and operational objectives or goals

- Strategies Selection

- Development of Plans, Programs and Projects

- Operationalising and preparation of implementation

- Monitoring and evaluation

Practical application of knowledge in the field of Occupational Health.
