Recommended Prerequisites

- Knowledge and skills that students must master before starting this course:
We take for granted that our students have a basic knowledge before entering this unit is sufficient to understand its content. These bases include in particular the following:
- Biostatistics - Master the main technical descriptive and inferential statistics.
- Psychology - the ability to understand major psychological problems.
-History Of medicine - Knowledge of the evolution of psychology over time

Teaching Methods

During the lectures the main issues of psychology will be addressed in order to provide students not only knowledge of the issues and approach techniques, but also demonstrate the importance of mainstreaming the binomial health-disease to focus on, analyze, interpret, discuss and propose ways to resolve or minimize them.

The methods will be based on traditional lectures with their timeline for discussion at the end of class.

Students should achieve the following specific objectives:

- In the cognitive domain : allow and encourage the acquisition of knowledge :

1. History of Psychology .

- In the affective domain : creation and development of the following attitudes :

1. Prevencionista .

2. Interest in the study of illness behavior.

3. Interest in the study of environmental and behavioral conditions and their improvement.

4. Concern about the quality of living in general.

5. Interest in the study of the major psychological problems.

- In the physical -motor domain: acquisition of the following capabilities :

1. Domain , calculation and interpretation of the different techniques used in psychology.

2. Develop and implement surveys in the field of psychology.
