To have completed the curricular units of the first year and to be be enroled in the curricular unit Thesis.
Teaching Methods
Blended-learning, with hybrid methodologies.
Presentation and discussion of the research progress by doctoral students.
The sessions allow for the participation/discussion with fellow students and academic staff of the research work developed. In addition to the coordinators of the curricular unit, the supervisor of the doctoral student and experts on different subjects may be invited to the sessions.
Online platforms (e.g., Inforestudante) will be used for the circulation of materials and to facilitate interchanging among students and of the later with academic staff.
Learning Outcomes
This course aims at increasing the effectiveness of the research work being conducted by doctoral students. The coordinators, in close relationship with theses supervisors, play a crucial role in reinforcing the skills to be developed, namely the ability to handle with rigor and technical excellence research instruments in management and to produce, present and discuss the analysis pursued in the development of the thesis, as well as accurate summaries of the outcomes.
