Learning Outcomes

Students should be able to:

1. Spot the origins of intellectual property and understand the historical evolution and socio-economic role of these rights, with special emphasis on patents, trademarks and copyright.

2. Know the normative sources of intellectual property and its systematic framework.

3. Identify the different types of intellectual property and distinguish them as to their possible objects, holders, contents, limits, duration, and modes of constitution.

4. Mastering the means of effective intellectual property enforcement.
