Learning Outcomes

The aim of this unit is to provide guidance to the students during their intership in the host institutions and also structuring their internship report.

The student should demonstrate his/her research skills, as well as innovation, autonomy writing abilities, producing an original work that should contribute to the development of knowledge in this field.

Syllabus

The contents of the syllabus will depende on the research topics according to the to student's choice and also on the institutions where they will do the internship. The internships may be carried out at the following services: Forensic Genetics and Biology  Service, Forensic Chemistry and Toxicology Service, Functional Forensic Pathology Unit, Functional Forensic Clinic Unit, all from the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, North, Central and South Branches, as well as the traineeships will be requested to the Laboratory of Scientific Police of the Judiciary Police, Department of Anthropology of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Coimbra, as well as foreign forensic services.
