Dissertation Project - Branch of Acoustics and Vibration in Urban Environment

Recommended Prerequisites

Previous knowledge of building physics in particular building acoustics.

Teaching Methods

The curricular unit will have a teaching component where different methodologies of research will be presented succinctly; ways of carrying out a bibliographical research and writing format of a scientific text.In a second phase, the student will be accompanied by the tutor, through regular meetings, defining the subject that will be the object of study in dissertation, identifying appropriate research methodologies, performing the bibliographic search and defining the corresponding work plan. The evaluation will be done through a written paper and its oral presentation.

Learning Outcomes

It is intended that the students acquire the necessary skills to prepare scientific texts, which allow to start the dissertation work, identifying the topic that will be investigated, choosing appropriate research methodologies, carrying out the bibliographic research and defining the corresponding work plan.
