Recommended Prerequisites

Basic knowledge in the curricular program of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd year of the Integrated Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences supported mainly with Human Anatomophysiology, Human Physiopathology, General and Special Pharmacology, with some basis related with Pharmaceuticals and Medicinal Chemistry

Teaching Methods

Theoretical classes exposition, with an important role in the transmission of knowledge, in the sharing of information and in the awakening of student curiosity. They are based on a clear, conceptual and up-to-date development, stimulating the student to independent study, later completed in practical classes.

Learning Outcomes

The teaching of Pharmacotherapy involves the development of knowledge that allows the adequate use of medicines in different pathological situations.

The student should be able to perceive, explain and discuss the use of the most representative drugs in the treatment of various pathologies and to understand and explain the technical and scientific principles of effective, correct and rational therapeutic selection.
