Teaching Methods

As aulas teóricas serão lecionadas através do modelo de aulas magistrais sobre o conteúdo programático da unidade curricular recorrendo a “data-show”. A componente prático-laboratorial é ministada em ambiente laboratorial, através da execução experimental e controlo de qualidade de fórmulas cosméticas e dermofarmacêuticas; elaboração do PIF; realização de biometrologia cutânea com recurso a instrumentação específica; resolução de casos práticos de aconselhamento, através do contacto e análise das características de exemplos de produtos cosméticos comercializados.

Learning Outcomes

Preparing students for theoretical and technological/practical knowledge of formulations for application to the skin endowed with therapeutic action – dermopharmaceuticals – and formulations for hygiene, protection and correction of the skin surface and its annexes and mucous membranes – cosmetic products; as well as the Cosmetic Product Information File (PIF) inherent to the latter.

Pharmaceutical advice to the user, and discussion with health professionals and the cosmetics industry about dermopharmacy and cosmetics.
