Teaching Methods
Teaching methodologies cover both with the theoretical basis for the organization of systems of electricity and the autonomous discovery by the students from documented real world situations, dealt with in the monographs.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be capable of a vision informed on how organize Systems of Electric Energy before and after the liberalization of the electricity sector. They should also get to know about the types of regulation of the electric sector of natural monopoly to the liberalized market.

Infrastructure of electricity systems: generation of electrical energy - resources and generation technologies renewable and conventional; Structures of electricity systems - transport and distribution networks.
Liberalisation of the electricity market: Network open access; Electricity business regulation – from natural monopoly to the liberalised market. Structural models. Organisational models Technical and economical impact on the management of electricity networks; The Portuguese case-study – Organisation and regulatory framework.

The evaluation method allows the evaluation of both components: theoretical basis and critical analysis of reality through, respectively, the exam and the monograph: 100.0%
