Learning Outcomes

After attending this curricular unit, the students should have acquired theoretical and practical knowledge required for analysis and design of computer controlled systems.

Acquisition of skills, in research environment, such as analysis and synthesis, independent learning, adaptability to new contexts, applying in practice the theoretical knowledge.

Design of computer controlled systems in state-space: regulation and servo-control.

Controller with Kalman observer. Discrete-time optimal control with state-space methods: LQR and LQG control.

Applications in robotic and mechatronic systems. Introduction to model predictive control.
